How an electric car is built

Lucid Motors, who have created the Lucid Air luxury electric car, offer an insight into their new factory in Casa Grande, Arizona. Dubbed the Lucid AMP-1, the factory is where the new Lucid Air is being built. The Air offers an impressive projected range of 406 miles (650km) and delivers a speedy 480 horsepower. As a consequence it has become a direct competitor to the Tesla.

The video below shows CEO, Peter Rawlinson, joining vice president of global manufacturing, Peter Hochholdinger, at Lucid AMP-1 for a complete tour of their first factory and to check out how things are going as we ready for production. They start in the body shop, move through the paint shop and conclude the tour in general assembly.
