Tesla’s most affordable electric car, the Model 3 Stand Range Plus, has been awarded an official range and efficiency thing. The entry-level Tesla is now officially listed on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) website. The website shows the range at 263 miles (423 km). This comes as no surprise with it being based on Tesla’s estimate.
The EPA says the rear-wheel-drive Standard Range Plus version of the Model 3 has a Combined range of 263 miles (423 km). It gives a Highway range of 234.7 miles (377.6 km), which is over 10 percent lower. The efficiency is given as 142 MPGe, which is around 237 Wh/mi (147 Wh/km). This is a top result for the Model 3.
The City efficiency rating is 150 MPGe that’s around 225 Wh/mi (140 Wh/km), while the Highway rating at 133 MPGe, which is about 253 Wh/mi (157 Wh/km). This, once again, is the best recorded. It just edged out the 2020 version of the Model 3 Standard Range Plus which was rated at 132 MPGe, around 255 Wh/mi (158 Wh/km). This is great news for Tesla and 2021 Model 3 Standard Range Plus drivers.
